The UniSA Australian HPV Super Series is staged by Australian International Pedal Prix Inc. and is a competition where teams race Human Powered Vehicles (HPV’s) on a closed controlled circuit.
The 2017 Series consists of 5 Rounds staged in South Australia. An additional non-Series event will be conducted in Busselton WA in August, the fourth time a HPV race has been conducted in Western Australia.
In 2017 the Mt Gambier race will be an 8 hour event while all other Series Rounds and Busselton will be 6 hour events. The 24 hour race in Murray Bridge is acknowledged as the biggest and best HPV race in the world. It attracts 200 teams made up of 3,200 riders and spectator numbers in the thousands.
As naming rights sponsor of the Series the University of South Australia has recognised that the Series encapsulates many of their core values around education, the development of sustainable communities, healthy lifestyles, communication and teamwork, and research and innovation.
